The Department of Juvenile Services is searching for a passionate and compassionate education professional to join our team at our local government youth education facility. As a Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in transforming the lives of youth by providing them with the guidance, support, and education they need to overcome obstacles and unlock their full potential. This recruitment will be used to fill a Library Media Specialist position at the Baltimore City Juvenile Justice Center. LOCATION OF POSITION: Baltimore City Juvenile Justice Center, 300 N. Gay St., Baltimore, MD 21202

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: Possession of appropriate educational credentials as determined by the Maryland State Board of Education.

Experience: None.

SELECTIVE QUALIFICATIONS: Must possess a MSDE Secondary Education Educators Licensure in Library or Library Media.

DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Endorsement in Secondary Education, Library Media Specialist or Librarian.
• One year of teaching experience to include internship.
• Current active certification issued by the State of Maryland Department of Education.
