Job description
We have an opening for a fully funded PhD position at Stevens Institute of Technology in New Jersey, USA, for Spring 2023 or Fall 2023.
The recruited PhD student will be involved in projects funded by NASA and NOAA with a focus on river and lake ice mapping using optical and microwave satellites data.
The candidate will use machine learning methods to map river ice and snow to predict the formation of ice jams in the US and Canada.
The goal is to support New York City water supply group advance the management of water supply during winter.
