We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and confident Teaching Assistant with experience of working with children in Reception and an ability to demonstrate a sound knowledge and understanding of the EYFS. Suitable candidates will ideally possess a relevant childcare qualification and a valid Paediatric First Aid qualification (or willingness to undertake this training).
The successful candidate will:
- Be focused, with a clear understanding of safeguarding responsibilities and professional standards.
- Support the class teacher in the delivery of teaching and learning activities within the classroom including small groups or on an individual basis.
- Be able to communicate effectively with both children and colleagues and work under instruction, as well as independently.
The successful candidate must:
- Be passionate about children’s learning, development and welfare.
- Have knowledge of working with Reception children and experience of working in a primary school.
- Be able to assist in preparing the classroom, supporting the children and teacher.
- Have a good standard of spoken and written English.
- Be committed to ensuring that every child reaches their potential.
- Be supportive of the Christian ethos of the school.
