We have an great opportunity for a Porter to join our Primary Care team at HMP Wormwood Scrubs, a category B Prison located in London.

Hours

Monday to Friday – 8.00 to 16.30

Salary

This position is full time, you’ll receive an annual salary up to £27,500per annum FTE – depending on experience.

Candidates are required to have a Legal right to work in the UK on a permanent basis and due to the nature of the role, offers of employment will be subject to additional vetting and security checks.

What you’ll be doing

As a Porter, your responsibilities will vary. You will

  • be dealing with patients, healthcare colleagues and other professionals over the phone and face to face and ensure that everyone is working in a tidy healthcare area
  • undertaking a range of delegated portering duties, including unloading, delivery of stock, and any other general tasks required across Prison Healthcare Service.

  • A good basic level of education
  • Excellent communication skills

Although not essential ideal applicants would have experience in a hospital, community or prison environment.
