Responsibilities
- The Data Management Analyst is a crucial role responsible for managing reliability and improving the organization’s trust in data through a Master Data Management (MDM) strategy
- In this role, you will be responsible for working with business partners to develop and improve data quality metrics, specifically as they relate to customer data
- You will help identify solutions to reduce cost and improve the efficiency of Guardian’s data pipeline
- The ideal candidate will have a background in data governance, master data management, and quality assurance in the insurance industry
- Help define and implement a robust customer data strategy aligned with business objectives
- This includes identifying sources of customer data, data governance principles, and data quality standards
- Master Data Management Platform Business Requirements:
- Coordinate and collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to gather and prioritize business requirements for the MDM platform
- Drive the selection, implementation, and optimization of MDM tools and technologies
- Customer Data Stewardship Operations:
- Help establish and oversee customer data stewardship processes and workflows
- Help establish data stewards across departments to ensure consistent adherence to data management standard processes
- Help develop and implement Data Quality metrics and KPIs to monitor the health of customer data
- Proactively identify and address data quality issues through root cause analysis and corrective actions
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with marketing, sales, customer service, finance, and the Business Units to understand their requirements and ensure alignment with the customer data strategy
- Help drives organizational change initiatives to promote a data-driven culture and foster a shared understanding of the importance of accurate and trusted customer data
- Performance Measurement and Reporting:
- Help establish performance measurement frameworks to track the efficiency of customer data management initiatives

You have
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• 3+ years of experience in data management.
• Strong understanding of customer data concepts, including data modeling, integration, quality management, and governance.
• Collibra or similar metadata management and data quality tool experience.
• Experience working with data using tools such as SQL or Python.
• Demonstrated communication and collaborator leadership skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with business and technical teams.
• Proven experience in developing and driving data strategies.
Location
This is a flexible, hybrid position requiring 2 days per week in the office, with preference given to candidates within commuting proximity to a Guardian office, which include:
• Bethlehem, PA
• Hudson Yards, New York City
Salary Range
$91,260.00 – $149,925.00
