Job Summary

Role: Digital Inclusion Support Worker, Employment and Skills team

Salary: Part time salary 24,687.2 (full time equivalent of £30,859 per annum)

Contract: Fixed term until 23/05/2025

Hours: 30 per week

Location: Camberwell – London

Thames Reach runs projects and services that help to end homelessness in London. We work directly with homeless people on the streets and in hostels. We work to prevent vulnerable people from becoming homeless. We help formerly homeless people get their lives back on track. We help people find work and access training and volunteering opportunities.

About this role…

Prevention services support vulnerable people by providing them with skills, housing advice, accommodation, and tenancy sustainment support. All these services to help people transition towards leading independent lives.

Thames Reach welcomes applications from people with transferable skills.

We are looking for a Digital Support Worker to join the Employment and Skills team.

You will:

  • Carry out needs assessments to ensure the ongoing digital skills development of clients.
  • Distribute and lend free electronic devices and data to people living in temporary and emergency accommodation.
  • Work with digital skills and digital inclusion volunteers and support them in conducting repairs/resets of devices and delivering skills workshops.
  • Support with capturing feedback from clients and employees.

To succeed as the Digital Support Worker, you will have: (Add up to 6 bullet points about experience and skills the candidate will need)

  • Experience in client-facing work and ability to carry out assessments of clients’ digital needs.
  • The ability to establish good working relationships with service users, colleagues, other stakeholders externally
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and experience of using databases.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills that are clear and coherent.
  • Experience of setting up and basic troubleshooting of laptops and mobile phones
  • Experience of keeping accurate and appropriate records and providing information for monitoring required.
