Expression of Interest for one-year Social Care Assessor secondment in HIDT

We have an exciting opportunity for a 12 months secondment in HIDT for a SCA role to cover a member of staff going on secondment with CQC.

This position is an excellent opportunity for a role in Adult Social Care, where you will work with both health and social care professionals; as well as a diverse range of people throughout Royal Borough of Greenwich and help make a difference to their lives.

You must be able to work creatively with adults, their families and carers, and collaboratively with other professionals, using person-centred principles, strength based, evidence-based approaches and current best practice, with an understanding of legislation, risk assessment and positive risk taking.

You will be well supported with regular supervision. You will manage your own caseload and work to safeguard and promote the welfare of adults and older people, and will work in partnership with families, carers, and other professionals and organisations. This role is suited for someone with previous hospital work experience or has an interest in hospital work. You would be given support to develop into the role by your manager and a commitment to working in a learning culture.

We invite applications from current SCAs within the RBG HAS department who may wish to gain the experience of working in HIDT or staff from other teams within the council with suitable and transferable skills as above.

If you would like to be considered for this secondment, please can you complete a A4 sheet demonstrating what skills, knowledge and experience you would bring to this post. Please ensure that you cover the JD (attached) and provide examples where possible. This role is full time and we currently work in a hybrid model of days in the office and Working From Home. You must be able to be relieved from your current duties. Please ensure you have discussed this with your Line Manager before submitting your Expression of Interest.

Team Manager Witcan Chirimuuta – witcan.chirimuuta@royalgreenwich.gov.uk or Service Managers, Cathy Moore cathy.moore@royalgreenwich.gov.uk or Hilary Pye hilary.pye@royalgreenwich.gov.uk
