An exciting opportunity has arisen for a full-time Referrals Administrator in the Haringey Community Adult Mental Health Services at St Ann’s Hospital.

Previous experience in a secretarial/administrative role within the NHS, or similar is desirable. You will have the ability to work under your own initiative as well as in collaboration with colleagues in a team to meet deadlines. You will also have the ability to update and/or implement new systems in line with Trust and service requirements.

Due to the high number of applications that are received for some posts, we will close vacancies before the stated closing date once the first 30 applications are received. Therefore, please apply as soon as possible.

The Referrals coordinator will provide administrative support to the service. They will work within service level standards to deliver an efficient and effective service; dealing with telephone and personal enquiries from patients, carers and members of the public, GP’s and other healthcare professionals.

Opening of internal and external referrals. Checking the referral has been correctly completed with all relevant information.

Signposting referrals to the appropriate services.

Send the referral through to the Screening team.

Attend the Multidisciplinary Team meeting to accurately record the outcome of the discussion.

Monitor the onward plan for the referral.

Update and monitor the tracking of the referral on the screening and initial assessment pathway.

Manage the referral in-box, actioning all requests sent through.

Take personal responsibility for all tasks involved in the role.

In order to meet the needs of the new Partnership services you may be required from time to time to work at different locations to your normal place of work. This may mean that you are required to work at any location that fall under Barnet, Enfield and Harringay Trust and Camden and Islington Trust. The Trust reserves the right to require staff to work at such other places or locations as it considers reasonable and necessary on a temporary or permanent basis.
