Full job description

As the Pre-Assessment Manager your role will be to lead and develop the service ensuring effectiveness of our patient pre-assessment service. You will also lead the Elective Admissions Team at Charing Cross Hospital and ensure collaborative working relationships with other departments especially Theatres, Patient Service Centre and Specialities.

As the Pre-Assessment Manager you will;

  • Lead the pre-assessment & elective admissions service, managing a team of healthcare professionals.
  • Develop and implement pre-assessment systems and processes aligning to the GIRFT principles.
  • Coordinate pre-operative assessments for patients and other pre-assessment requirements.

With our Pre-Assessment Service based across our three major hospital sites you will provide care for patients from a range of surgical specialities including; Neurosurgery, ENT, Breast surgery, Urology, General Surgery, Gynaecology, Plastic Surgery, Orthopaedics and Hepatobiliary.

You will be responsible for assessing, planning, delivering and evaluating clinical care within the Pre-Assessment Service and support patients through their pathway.

To oversee the delivery of high quality, safe and effective care focused on improving outcomes and experiences for patients, families and carers.
