Radiology PACS Assistant (Part Time)

The successful candidate will work within the PACS team to ensure the administration of the clinical systems is managed effectively.

Croydon University Hospital is a large urban DGH situated in South London, serving the needs of a diverse population of 360,000. It has one of the busiest A & E departments in London. Croydon has easy access to both central London and the south coast. It also offers a huge range of social, leisure and shopping venues, with excellent transport links to both Gatwick and Heathrow airports.

This role will primarily involve ensuring the Administration of the Radiology clinical systems are managed effectively.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills, flexibility, working in a demanding environment / under pressure and reliability and must have an organised approach to work. They will be required to work closely with Radiology internal teams and Clinical teams within the Trust to ensure urgent radiology requests are managed within Radiology.

The post holder will ensure high levels of patient and clinician satisfaction by being an accessible, customer focussed and knowledgeable point of contact. To provide a consistent approach across the Trust, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) will describe how the functions of the role will be carried out, along with the timescales to which are to be adhered.

Croydon Health Services NHS Trust provide hospital and community services from a number of community and specialist clinics throughout Croydon. The Trust was formed on 1st August 2010 through the integration of Croydon Community Health Services and Mayday Healthcare NHS Trust. Our main hospital site, Croydon University Hospital is one of the busiest in London. The department performs in excess of 250,000 all examinations per annum and has an active Clinical Governance programme. There are currently approximately 100 WTE Staff in post in the Diagnostic Imaging department, including 22 Consultant Radiologists and Speciality Grade Doctors.
