Market Activation Executive – 9-month FTC
Your Manager: Senior Marketing Activation Manager
Contract length: 9 months
Team: Trade Marketing Location: Chiswick, West London

Your new team
This position sits in our Global Travel Retail business. Global Travel Retail is one of the Group’s largest markets, bringing Pernod Ricard brands to life in the exciting and innovative Travel Retail channel which includes duty-free, cruise ships & border shops around the globe. With a global footprint across more than 20 locations and over 30 nationalities, our working culture celebrates inclusion and diversity. Your unique contribution
You will have two main areas of responsibility:
  • Developing Customer Marketing activity and executions
  • Supporting on all aspects of Customer Marketing, brand objectives, market insights and available resources, ensuring that all initiatives are delivered within a timely manner
Who you’ll be working with
  • Internally you’ll develop strong relationships with the Business Unit Marketing Teams, Global Travel Retail Central Marketing, Travel Retail EMEA Customer Services and Supply Chain teams.
  • Externally, you will manage the day -to-day relationship with external activation and promotional staffing agencies. You will also have day-to-day dealings with our customers including category buyers and marketing teams.
Your blend of talent
This position could be right for you if you:
  • Can manage the planning and implementation of all trade marketing activities within a portfolio of key European Travel Retail customers.
  • Have experience of assisting in developing promotional trade plans for customers.
  • Ensure that the marketing A&P budget sheet is accurate and kept updated.
  • Maintain regular contact with promotion agencies and Retail design teams to negotiate costs and timings for production, monitor quality and find new suppliers to optimise costs.
  • Develop strong customer relations to gain a better understanding of their needs.
  • Maintain regular contact and business updates with Customer Marketing and relevant Regional Sales Managers & Key Account Managers.
  • Provide input into consolidated brand and customer activation calendar
  • Provide effective pre and post promotional analysis on all major Customer Marketing activities.
  • Provide useful analysis on the European Travel Retail channel in terms of sales volumes, traveller profiles and trends.
  • Monitor, track and share competitor activity including pricing, promotional activity, product initiatives, category management and advertising.
  • Support projects with domestic markets, ensuring that our Travel Retail activations are in line with and supportive of local campaigns.
  • Ensure that commercial contacts, sales promoters and brand consultants are updated on key brand initiatives and have access to relevant educational materials.
  • Manage and implement appropriate education programmes for local retail staff, agencies and brand consultants for your portfolio of customers.
  • Manage an inventory of custom merchandising, light boxes and brand displays within your customers, including analysis on strategic value / cost vs. return on investment.
  • Regular visits to the field ensuring that our brands are showcased to the travelling consumer in the most premium and efficient way.
  • Provide regular contact reports in line with business needs.
  • Identify customer specific opportunities and exploit these where possible.
