About the Role

Support 2 men and 1 woman with disability living in Hurstville. You will have previous experience working with people with disability, including providing personal care and driving of a wheelchair van.

Permanent Part Time positions, candidates applying must be able to commit all shifts within one of the set roster lines below:

• 49 hours per fortnight:
  • Week 1: Tue, Wed and Thu 6-10am, Fri 4-9pm and Sat 3-9pm
  • Week 2: Tue and Wed 2-8pm, Thu and Fri 6-10am and Sat 3-9pm
• 48 hours per fortnight:
  • Week 1: Mon 6-10am, Tue 4-9pm, Wed 4-11:30pm and Thu 11:30pm – 8:30am (active night)
  • Week 2: Mon and Tue 6-10am, Wed 4-10:30pm and Thur 11:30pm – 8:30am (active night)

Key Responsibilities

• Follow person-centred support and behaviour plans
• Facilitate client goal achievement through meaningful activities
• Maintain thorough record keeping
• Build positive relationships with clients, families and colleagues
• Advocate for client choice and control

Skills & Experience

• Experience working with people with disability
• Previous experience providing personal care
• An unrestricted Australian driver’s licence
• Confidence and ability to drive a large wheelchair van
• A current First Aid and CPR Certificate

Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including a National Criminal History Record Check and obtain an NDIS Clearance.

To be considered for and appointed to a position at Life Without Barriers, you must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 with a minimum of two (2) doses or hold a valid medical exemption certificate, in accordance with Life Without Barriers Employee COVID-19 Vaccination Policy. You will be required to provide evidence of your vaccination status during the recruitment process.
