We are seeking a Creative Services Designer to join our dynamic team.

As a Creative Services Designer, you will be responsible for creating visually appealing materials for diverse audiences, including employees, leadership, customers, suppliers, and job seekers. Your proficiency in graphic design, animation, and desktop publishing, along with your unwavering dedication to our brand, will establish you as a key brand ambassador within our organisation. Your creative skills and ability to convey complex ideas through compelling visuals will shape our brand identity and reinforce our market presence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with the Communication and Marketing Leadership Team to produce visually striking collateral for marketing and communications across all audience segments.
  • Champion our brand guidelines, ensuring consistent and impactful representation across all.
  • Collaborate with various brand communities within Wates to align and strengthen our brand.
  • Transform complex ideas into compelling visuals for improved audience engagement across all channels and materials.
  • Apply quick and strategic thinking to address design challenges with creative solutions.
  • Foster a collaborative and collaborative environment, contributing to the growth and success of the Creative Services team.

The ideal candidate should possess proven experience in graphic design, animation, and desktop publishing, along with a deep understanding of brand identity and the ability to serve as a brand ambassador. They must have strong visual storytelling skills for effective communication, the ability to collaborate in a collaborative, fast-paced environment, and a keen eagerness to stay current with design trends and technologies. Proficiency in supporting senior leadership and executive teams in crafting impactful presentations and the ability to tailor designs for various channels to support campaigns effectively are essential.

A bachelor’s degree or equivalent in graphic design, visual arts, or a related field is an advantage, and the successful candidate should have advanced skills in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects), a strong understanding of animation techniques and tools, advanced desktop publishing expertise, and in-depth knowledge of brand identity principles. They should demonstrate strategic thinking, problem-solving abilities, experience in creating materials for events and promotions, the ability to adapt to modern design technologies, and excellent project management skills to meet deadlines and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
