The search for a star Apprentice is on!

We have some exciting opportunities available at Barking and Dagenham College. We are looking for a Business Administration Apprentice for an 18-month, Level 3 apprenticeship.

The Business Administration Apprentice role;

To provide support and assistant to learners across the College, with accessing all learner support funds. Providing learners with up to date and relevant information on all available funding (e.g. tuition, travel, child care etc.) To assess and administer all applications for student financial support and to assist in the review of the service and to contribute to future developments and improvements.

Key Responsibilities of our Business Administration Apprentice role;

  • Administer the College’s policies and procedures in relation to student financial support
  • Provide a financial support information service to learners relating to issues surrounding student financial support
  • Assess learners for assistance from a variety of college-based (e.g. 16-19 Bursaries) and non-college based funds (e.g. Care to Learn)
  • Provide outstanding customer service whilst delivering high quality student financial support

Our ideal Business Administration Apprentice should have the following qualifications, skills and experience:

  • A good general standard of education equivalent to GCSE C-grade
  • Good general IT skills in MS Office or equivalent
  • Good general customer care skills (all media)
  • Positive, proactive and problem solving approach to all duties and engagements
  • Ability to work as part of a team

All staff are asked to complete mandatory training on KCSIE and other key areas, and to read the relevant policies.

This role is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and the Amendments to the Exceptions Order 1975, 2013 and 2020.
