Responsibilities
- Long Island University is looking for a Director of Athletics Compliance to assist the Athletics Director with the overall operations of athletics compliance including, compliance-related projects, ensuring institutional compliance with department, state, federal, NCAA and NEC guidelines
- This individual will have excellent organizational skills, a high degree of integrity and the ability to interpret complex oral and written concepts
- Reporting directly to the Director of Athletics, they will also work closely with coaches and staff to enhance the competitiveness of a Division 1 intercollegiate program
- Develops comprehensive NCAA rules educational programs and materials for Coaches, Athletic Staff, athletes, and Campus Constituency Meetings
- Assist with compliance-related projects
- Primary Sport Contact for several of the institution’s athletics programs
- Perform Initial Eligibility Assessments of prospective student-athletes and assist in the awarding of athletic scholarships
- Monitor potential and proposed changes to NCAA legislation, state law, and NIL rules
- Monitor all NIL agreements
- Filing of waivers and contributing to various annual NCAA reports
- Write violation self-reports and waivers and participate in the investigation of suspected rule violations
- Process Official and Unofficial Visits
- Monitor Outside Competition
- Roster Management
- Staff Declarations
- Perform other administrative duties as assigned by the Athletics Director

Qualifications and Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university required; Master’s degree preferred.
• 2 years of NCAA compliance experience
• Knowledge of NCAA rules and athletic compliance procedures and regulations is essential.
• Minimum of 2 Years of full- time experience at a Division I Athletics institution.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
