Full job description

Being part of the delivery team at The Nest Southwark, Groundwork are looking for a Youth Participation Coordinator. This position is critical in championing, advocating for, and seamlessly integrating the voices of young people into Groundwork’s extensive process of developing and implementing Youth Mental Health programmes across the Trust.

The Nest is Groundwork London’s mental wellbeing support service for young people aged 0 – 25 and living in the London Borough of Southwark. Since launching the service, The Nest has gone from strength to strength and we are delighted to be celebrating four years of supporting the young people of Southwark. As we do so, we are looking for a Youth Participation Coordinator to will play a critical role in leading the implementation of innovative programmes, engaging activities, and impactful initiatives aimed at encouraging active participation and meaningful engagement among young people across a variety of mental health projects.

Key requirements:

Please contact us if you have:

  • Experience working with children and young people in a mental health setting
  • An understanding of providing and running peer support in 1-2-1 or group sessions to under 25s
  • Experience or interest in championing the voice of the community
  • Knowledge and understanding of how young people access social media platforms
  • A full understanding of what it is like to grow up in London as a young person and the challenges they face
