• Assumes leadership role in training staff on new equipment and supplies
• Attends advanced training sessions and seminars in order to maintain industry standards in imaging techniques and disseminates information to imaging departmental leadership and as a part of new hire orientation
• Assist technologists with board reviews, continuing education needs, and participates as a peer delegate in staff annual performance reviews
• Performs all job responsibilities of IR Tech II Advanced
• Leads training on new techniques, protocols, and software applications and collaborates with proceduralists and researchers where applicable to identify new techniques and problem-solving resolutions

UPMC Presbyterian is seeking an experience Interventional Tech Specialist to join the Neuro Team! This position will consist of (4) 10-hour shifts or (3) 12-hour shifts & (1) 4-hour shift. Call responsibilities will be required: nights, weekends and holidays.
In addition to performing imaging procedures at an advanced level, provides technical expertise to multiple business units. Functions as a resource to staff to provide orientation, continuing education and protocol development. Creates and implements new training programs, where applicable, and assists with the startup of new offsite locations.
Responsible for tech quality assurance program and the reviewing and updating of protocols alongside of or in place of the lead and advanced technologist.
