Responsibilities

- Responsible for tech quality assurance program and the reviewing and updating of protocols alongside of or in place of the lead and advanced technologist
- Assumes leadership role in training staff on new equipment and supplies
- Attends advanced training sessions and seminars in order to maintain industry standards in imaging techniques and disseminates information to imaging departmental leadership and as a part of new hire orientation
- Assist technologists with board reviews, continuing education needs, and participates as a peer delegate in staff annual performance reviews
- Performs all job responsibilities of IR Tech II Advanced
- Leads training on new techniques, protocols, and software applications and collaborates with proceduralists and researchers where applicable to identify new techniques and problem-solving resolutions

UPMC Presbyterian is seeking an experience Interventional Tech Specialist to join the Neuro Team! This position will consist of (4) 10-hour shifts or (3) 12-hour shifts & (1) 4-hour shift. Call responsibilities will be required: nights, weekends and holidays.
In addition to performing imaging procedures at an advanced level, provides technical expertise to multiple business units. Functions as a resource to staff to provide orientation, continuing education and protocol development.
