Course Description
The Department of Sociology is seeking to hire GSIs for the Winter 2025 term. Fraction appointments will range from .25 to .50. Please see the course guide for discussion times and locations. Placements will not be finalized until mid/late November, and offer-letters will be sent out around that time.

Modes of Work
Positions that are eligible for hybrid or mobile/remote work mode are at the discretion of the hiring department. Work agreements are reviewed annually at a minimum and are subject to change at any time, and for any reason, throughout the course of employment.
Selection Process
Applications are reviewed and positions are assigned by the Undergraduate Office, in consultation with the Undergraduate Director. Considerations include academic qualifications and prior teaching experience, as well as course preference. The Sociology Department will make reasonable effort to extend offers within 3 weeks after the application due date. If offered a GSI position, the deadline to respond to offer letters is one week from the distribution date of the letter.
