Full job description

We are seeking an enthusiastic, dedicated, and telephonist to join the Switchboard Team at Hornsby Ku-ring-gai Hospital. As a member of our team, you will be given opportunities to grow and develop your skills. You will work together with the Multi-Disciplinary Team to achieve a common goal of delivering high quality patient centred care.

Employment Type: Temporary Part Time until 22 October 2025 (with possibility of ongoing employment)
Position Classification: Telephonist (Level 2)
Remuneration: $31.93 – $32.23 per hour
Hours Per Week: 8

Hornsby Hospital

What you’ll be doing
The Telephonist position is responsible for the efficient operation of the hospital switchboard and paging system, ensuring calls are answered in a timely manner, with clear and concise communication, providing a 24 hour service for NSLHD.

Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:

 

  • Demonstrated Switchboard experience.
  • Demonstrate a flexible work attitude and available to work a variety of shifts.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast paced and challenging environment.
