We are currently recruiting experienced part time support staff to work with Jordan, a gentleman living in the Wishaw area of North Lanarkshire.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced support worker looking to develop their already existing support skills and to be involved in helping Jordan enjoy life and develop.
“I am Jordan and I am 45 years old. I am a caring, compassionate, and determined individual who advocates for others with disabilities. I have been told I am very intelligent, creative, a good communicator and considerate.
I love banter and having a laugh with those who are in my life. I love all things rave and GBX! I enjoy a late night on a Saturday listening to GBX with a takeaway and a gin. I love listening to audio books and podcasts – I like to expand my knowledge in different areas.
My favourite things to do are meeting friends, public speaking, and presentations. I am currently employed and work at least one day a week; this really fulfils me, and I love my job.
I live with a condition called cerebral palsy, which is a condition that affects my muscle control and movement. I need support in all aspects of my daily life such as meal preparation however, I am very independent in my own way. I am a really good mentor and enjoy guiding unfamiliar staff on how I like to be supported, just ask me what you need to know.”
What am I looking for:
- Someone who is friendly, fun, and outgoing.
- Someone who can advise but not overpowering.
- Someone willing to get stuck in & be fully involved in all my activities.
- Someone who is openminded.
- Minimum 1 year care experience.
- Driver Essential
