We are currently recruiting experienced part time support staff to work with Wesley, a gentlemen living in the Bellshill area of North Lanarkshire.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced support worker looking to develop their already existing support skills and to be involved in helping Wesley enjoy life and develop.

“Hello, I am Wesley, and I am 63 years old. I am known for having a calming personality, being a good listener and a good host.

The people who know me best would describe me as being a very affectionate gentleman who is lovable, kind, and caring. Others describe me as a happy man who is content and is not afraid to show my emotions.

I am an adventurous individual who likes to get out and about, either going for walks in my local community or spending time in my car going to visit new or existing favourite places. I enjoy places that are quiet, and I like going drives in the countryside.

I take pride my garden; I enjoy spending time planting flowers, vegetables, and fruit. My staff help to support me to do this safely and I like having the vegetables included in my diet which I have grown myself.

I have a learning disability, and I do not communicate verbally with others. I will vocalise however cannot communicate my thoughts and feelings verbally to others. I also have epilepsy and autism – however, my epilepsy is controlled well by medication. I need support with all aspects of my daily life this includes meal preparation and safter moving and assisting.”

​Shifts are on a 2-week rota as follows:

Week 1 – Monday, Saturday & Sunday – All 9am-9pm

Week 2 – Monday, Tuesday & Friday – All 9am-9pm

There will be the opportunity to do overtime during team holiday times.
