Salary: Grade 6 from: £33,895 to £38,388 inclusive of London Weighting with potential to progress to £40,507 per annum inclusive of London Weighting through sustained exceptional contribution. (Pro-rata if Part-time)

Brunel University London established a new medical school in 2022 and registered 109 international medical students in both September 2022 and 2023. This academic year we will welcome 50 UK students and 100 international medical students, bringing our total to over 350 MBBS students. In 2023, we also integrated the Physician Associate students into the medical school, with up to 30 students in each of the 2 years of postgraduate programme. Brunel Medical School is part of the College of Health, Medicine and Life Sciences, which is a leading provider of health professional education, including Physiotherapy, Nursing, Occupational Therapy and Psychology programmes.
Brunel Medical School is now recruiting a Student Support and Well-Being Officer to provide a range of supports to current and prospective medical students. You will act as the first point of contact for students, making independent decisions to ensure that they have access to relevant academic and well-being supports in response to their situation. You will also support the development of workshops, peer-mentoring systems, events and activities within the Brunel Medical School ‘House System’ to enhance the students’ experience throughout medical school.
This is an excellent opportunity for a highly professional and organised individual.
The successful candidate will ideally possess:
- Experience of working in a student support role preferably within a medical School, clinical or other academic environ
- Knowledge of student welfare and wellbeing issues
- Understanding of the role that student support plays in enhancing the student experience.
