As a Specialist SpLD Teacher, you will be pivotal in supporting students with dyslexia or other SpLDs to achieve their academic potential. Reporting to the students’ parents, teachers and SENDCo, your role involves developing personalised lessons for young people with differing learning needs. You will utilise your core skills in assessment and intervention, while your skills in communication and collaboration will enhance partnerships with parents, class teachers and the SENDCo.

Join us in making a meaningful difference in the lives of students with dyslexia. The hours are flexible weekdays between 8am – 5pm. Sessions would last 30 minutes to an hour. Working on a self-employed basis, you would liaise closely with parents and teachers to ensure that all parties are aware of the nature of the sessions you are holding with each student.

You will be educated to degree level and must have current professional membership of one of the following organisations, or equivalent:

PATOSS (full or associate membership)

BDA (full professional membership)

ADSHE (professional membership)

Dyslexia Guild (member, associate or fellow membership)

AMBDA
