As a Skills Coach, your role is central to the delivery of our Mencap Training Academy You will support learners with SEN to complete all elements of the programme in line with requirements by providing tailored support. The role will be based in the community and classroom of our Supported Internship programme supporting learners with mild to moderate learning disabilities and difficulties

• Be accountable for learner progression and ensuring the young adults achieve the skills they need to make progress onto paid employment.
• You will deliver support in various ways; 1-1 job coaching, working with learners in the classroom to develop employability skills and embed English and Maths learning in the workplace.
• You will support people to learn the skills they need to go on and achieve sustained paid employment.

• Experience of supporting people

• A-C/9-4 English & Maths GCSE (or equivalent)
