Medicines Value and Access (MVA) Directorate seeks to develop evidence-based, and data driven policies that support patient access to, and outcomes from, medicines, while securing value for money for the system. The Medicines Policy Analysis team within MVA provides insight and evidence to inform policy, strategy, and commercial activities.

We are recruiting for a Senior Analytical Manager (8b) who will have responsibility for delivering high quality analysis that supports the development of evidence-based policies, commercial frameworks and will input into the development of health technology assessment methods and processes. The postholder will work closely with colleagues and senior stakeholders across MVA, clinical and pharmacy staff across NHS England and the wider NHS, and with external stakeholders such as DHSC, NICE and the MHRA.

The Medicines Policy Analysis team engages in a wide range of analysis, including disease pathway modelling, strategic analysis to inform and evaluate medicines optimisation and efficiency opportunities, and forecasting of medicines spend to support NHS budget planning. It’s expected that the post holder will also engage in matrix working to support some of these cross-cutting issues.
