IKEA London City are looking to welcome a value’s driven, logistics champion to join our team as a Retail Warehouse Manager, in IKEA we call this position a Fulfilment Operations Manager.
We have bold plans to transform the City, getting closer to where our customers live, work and socialise, you will work across our Oxford Street & Hammersmith units.
We are looking to welcome a leader who can deliver excellence in the operations through our people and for our customers.
Your remit will be to lead a high quality, end-to-end unit fulfilment operation, whilst coaching and developing the operational team.
WHAT WE OFFER
- The Start Date of employment will be: 2nd November 2024, we will take any notice periods into consideration.
- This role offers a starting salary of £35,500 per annum, based on competence & experience.
- 39 hours per week, working hours will support the needs of the business.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO HAVE
- Experience in leading people, preferable in distribution, retail, logistics with a proven record of successful people development.
- A strategic leadership approach delivering both business result with a commercial focus balancing efficiency and profitability.
- Proven analytical skills, understanding budgets, costs and key performance measurements.
- Experience of collaborating and influencing others, setting priorities and delegating responsibility.
- Experience in applying tactical and operational thinking and implementing action plans, providing clear direction, and following up goals.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY
- Ensure operational efficiency by implementing improvements, new processes, technologies, and ways of working across inbound, replenishment, outbound, and service execution to enhance customer and Co-worker experiences.
- Foster strong cooperation and communication with the Fulfilment Integration team, unit management, support functions, and external transport/service providers to maximise goods availability and customer order fulfilment at the lowest cost.
- Ensure the Fulfilment Operations team adheres to the IKEA code of conduct, relevant Standard Operating Procedures, internal regulations, and local health, safety, security, and environmental legislation.
- Lead, coach, develop, and inspire a high-performing Fulfilment Operations team by collaborating with the Fulfilment Integration team.
- Focus on communication, flexibility, performance culture, competence development, succession planning, and maintaining a work environment that supports equality, diversity, inclusion, and well-being.
- Implement the Customer Fulfilment Sustainability agenda within the assigned unit operations environment
