Purpose:
As a Retail Sales Consultant at Ontario Medical Supply, you will play a crucial role in assisting customers with their medical supply and equipment needs. Your primary responsibility will be to provide exceptional customer service, promote our products, and achieve sales targets. You’ll work closely with customers, answering their questions, recommending suitable products, and ensuring a positive shopping experience.

Type: Full time, 1 year maternity leave contract
Hourly Rate: $20/hr
Job Responsibilities:
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in finding the right medical supplies and/or equipment.
- Provide product knowledge and answer inquiries about features, benefits, and usage.
- Recommend products based on customer needs, preferences, and medical requirements.
- Assist with payment processing and ensure accurate transactions.
- Complete, if not already done, Certified fitter training, and be able to assist clients with fitting their compression garments
- Fit all types of bracing for clients
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of inventory and pricing.
- Ensure products are well-presented, clean, and easily accessible.
- Maintain accurate records of customer engagements, inquiries, and follow-ups.
- Continuously educate yourself about medical supplies, equipment, and related products by participating in training days.
- Stay informed about industry trends, new products, and advancements.
- Other duties as may be required.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (some college education preferred).
- Bilingualism in English and French is required.
- Previous retail sales experience, especially in a medical supplies or healthcare-related setting, is advantageous.
SKILLS:
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanor.
- Ability to work well in a team and independently.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task
- Proficiency in using point-of-sale (POS) systems and basic computer applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Ability to stand on your feet for long periods of time.
Additional Notes:
- Flexibility in working hours may be required from time to time, including evenings and weekends.
- A passion for helping customers and a genuine interest in healthcare products are essential
