- Develop strategic and tactical plans to enable division to better utilize limited material and workforce resources
- Report to emergencies 24/7/365
- Develop action plans to minimize service disruptions
- Direct regular maintenance and repair operations to ensure that personnel adhere to system safety policies and procedures
- Conduct field visits to confirm specifications and designs are being followed as written

Education and Experience:
Baccalaureate or an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered in lieu of degree.

Desired Skills:
• Extensive experience and knowledge of railroad signal components and systems, rapid transit operations, signal component testing, inspection repair, reconstruction, installation and rehabilitation.
• Knowledge of electrical, mechanical and electronic equipment, maintenance and project management.
• Knowledge of procurement procedures, safety rules and labor contracts.
• Demonstrated ability to apply interpersonal skills.
Selection Method:
Based on evaluation of education, skills, experience, and interview.
All appointments, with the exception of the Department of Subways employees on MABSTOA payroll, will be made on the NYCT payroll.
