Role Overview:
We’re seeking an energetic, motivated and experienced controller to join our award-winning team in Feltham, West London. We work with over 500 of the best drivers in London, and you’ll join a fantastic team of problem solvers. This role will usually involve 12-hour shifts on a four-on, four-off schedule. Your main duties will include:
Key Responsibilities:
- Dispatching work and managing driver queries.
- Taking bookings and addressing customer queries via phone, email, and other communication channels.
- Handling client feedback and resolving any situations that may arise.
- Managing driver inquiries in person, over the phone, and by email.
- Advising drivers on best practices, vehicle suitability, and other business-related topics.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with drivers, customers, and the office team.
- Leading and assisting members of the Customer Service team.
- Supporting other departments as needed.
- Performing any ad-hoc duties assigned by a manager.
Experience:
We’re looking for someone with at least 3 years of experience in a similar role with a Private Hire or Taxi Company. The ideal candidate will have:
- Experience in control operations within a minicab, chauffeur or other private hire company.
- Good hearing and a clear, confident, and polite telephone manner.
- Ability to work accurately under pressure.
- Proficiency in spoken and written English.
- Good computer and keyboard skills.
- Excellent customer care skills.
- Ability to handle difficult calls calmly and professionally.
- Flexibility and reliability.
- Awareness of confidentiality issues.
- Strong time-keeping.
- Team player with problem-solving and interpersonal skills.
- Experience using platform-based computerised systems.
- Capable of thriving in a fast-paced environment under pressure.
- Highly organised with good time management skills.
