We do this by working with members in educational institutions and beyond to provide unparalleled access to millions of audio-visual resources dating as far back as the 1920s for use in teaching and learning. We also support people to use this content, whether that’s navigating the minefield of copyright legislation or understanding best practice for embedding our content into their teaching. In addition, we work on pioneering partnerships and collaborations to amplify our global impact. The Role:
As Membership & Communities Officer, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and growing our membership base, ensuring our members feel supported, valued, and connected. This position directly impacts the financial health of our organisation by implementing effective strategies for membership retention and growth. You will foster a sense of community, encouraging peer-to-peer networking and knowledge sharing among our members.
You will work closely with the Chief Revenue Generation Officer and the Head of Marketing & Sales to deliver our strategy for 2023-2027 and beyond, building a thriving, engaged membership community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Membership Support: Provide top-tier support to members, including onboarding and helping them maximise their membership benefits.
- Retention & Growth: Implement strategies to engage members and encourage renewals, utilising feedback to ensure high satisfaction.
- Community Building: Manage an active online member community and plan member-exclusive events and networking opportunities.
- Marketing Collaboration: Work with the marketing team to design campaigns that communicate the value of membership and attract new members.
- Membership Data Management: Keep CRM records accurate and secure, using analytics to identify trends and enhance member engagement.
- Operational Excellence: Track progress, develop work plans, and use KPIs/OKRs to ensure alignment with organisational goals.
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Qualification in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, or related field.
- Proven experience in membership support, retention, or community management.
- Demonstrated success in implementing retention strategies and improving member satisfaction.
- Experience converting prospects into paying members.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Experience collaborating on multi-channel marketing campaigns.
