The Role

We are looking for a London based (or surrounding area) qualified and experienced Lightning Protection Field Test Engineer who will be responsible for the testing and inspection of various lightning protection systems throughout the City of London and surrounding areas.

Reporting to the Contracts Manager as and when required, you will be required to carry out essential inspections whilst working with safety and integrity at all times.

You will be required to keep in regular contact with our Nottingham based offices on a weekly basis and will be required to carry out lightning protection testing in accordance to both BS EN 62305 and BS EN 6651 according to individual job specifications, following instructions on the method statement and risk assessment.

You will be required to work at various sites within the city of London and surrounding areas carrying out detailed onsite reports via electronic means.

Essential Criteria

• NVQ Level 2/3 qualified in relevant field or equivalent
• Valid CSCS card and or working at height competency
• Ability to identify risk and assess jobs appropriately
• Good communication skills
• Able to work independently with strong problem solving ability
• Flexible and dynamic approach to all tasks
• Full clean Driving Licence
• Valid UK Citizen Passport

Desirable

• Proven experience within construction in scaffolding, rope access and working at height
• Previous experience as a field-based test engineer or similar role
