About the role

You will play an important role in the detailed preparation for and delivery of the BA Media. It will also contribute an important specialism to the range of expertise required by the programme. In addition to teaching at undergraduate level, the post-holder will contribute to Masters and PhD programmes in media, and to research, knowledge exchange and consultancy activities in ReMAP, the Knowledge Lab, and eventually the SCCI at UCL East. The post-holder will also play an important role in the development of the new UCL Media Network, generating collaborative approaches to teaching, research and intellectual endeavor across the three faculties. The postholder will also contribute to planning and delivery of workshops for schools and communities in East London as part of UCL East’s Widening Participation programme.

About you

You will have a PhD (completed or close to completion) or comparable industry experience in filmmaking and sound knowledge of key concepts, debates and challenges in the filmmaking process. Experience of teaching in different context and learning environments, including practical studio delivery is desirable.
