Kitchen Assistant
Part Time 20 hours per week
£10.90 per hour

We operate across London and the South East providing affordable, private and social rented homes, student, NHS and temporary accommodation, as well as supported housing and homes for older people.
Role overview
As a Kitchen Assistant you will be the heart and soul of our catering service, making sure our clients in sheltered accommodation and the wider community are treated to delicious meals. No experience necessary, if you’re thinking about trying something new or eager to show off your existing skills and if you’re ready to be part of something truly special we’d love to have you as part of our team.
Key responsibilities
- Preparation of food whilst maintaining a high standard of cleanliness in the kitchen
- Food service, preparing packed teas and serving meals to residents
- Awareness of particular dietary and cultural needs.
- Complete cleaning records
- Reporting resident feedback to manager
- Clearing down end of service, including but not limited to, sweeping, mopping and cleaning the dishwasher daily,
- Carry out Health & Safety & Food Hygiene standards checks
- Supporting Manager in preparing and responding to inspections and audits
- Take responsibility for acting up as chef as required following induction
- Ability to take responsibility for restaurant front of house service delivery
- Ensure mandatory training is kept up to date in line with company policy
- Assisting with deliveries, ensuring items are properly stored in designated locations whilst also maintaining stock rotation
