Required License/Registration/Certification
Applicants applying for an aquatics or Camp Program Educator position must
possess a lifeguard certification from a nationally recognized organization valid
through the entirety of summer and/or complete an aquatics training and
certification session with 4-H staff. Lifeguards must be able to swim up to 500 yards
lap swim without stopping, tread water for 2 minutes without use of hands, and
retrieve a 10 pound object from 10 feet of water without goggles.

13,000+ campers and volunteers attending four residential 4-H camp facilities for
summer 2025: (Lake Cumberland 4-H Camp, Nancy, KY; Feltner 4-H Camp, London,
KY; North Central 4-H Camp, Carlisle, KY; West Kentucky 4-H Camp, Dawson
Springs, KY).Available intern positions include (varies by locations): Program
Educator, Shooting Sports, Leadership Development, Challenge Course,
Environmental Education, Agriculture Education, and Aquatics. To view job
