Responsibilities

- Provides radiation protection
- Responsible for delegated areas of authority in the performance of routine or CT procedures
- Consults with physician and/or reads physician’s orders to determine proper testing procedures according to established protocol
- Assists the physician in preparing and administering contrast material
- Transfers images to PACS system with the necessary scanned documents
- Practices sterile techniques and prevents cross contamination
- Adheres to Infection Control Policies
- When necessary must transport patients to and from the Radiology Department
- Provides radiation protection in accordance with prescribed safety standards and built in low dose features
- Responsible for delegated areas of authority in the performance of CT and IR procedures
- Prepares all accessory materials and/or equipment for all the procedures as directed by the Radiologist
- Examines the study/images for adequacy and makes necessary adjustments
- Assures patients and staff are treated in a courteous and professional manner
- Exhibits respect and awareness of quality of patient

CT Scan Technologist Needed – Hospital Position in Brooklyn
Multiple Shifts Available
Job Description :
1. Provides immobilization devices as required.
