Full job description
Southwark College, part of NCG (a leading national provider of education and training) is looking to recruit hourly paid ESOL lecturers. Based at our Southwark College site, close to Waterloo Station, the successful candidates will be part of a large ESOL team, responsible for teaching ESOL to both Adult and 16-18 Study Programme classes. We have excellent resources and a modern suite of classrooms.
The main duties of the post holder are:
- To teach ESOL, to either or both Adults and students aged 16-18 years old using a variety of teaching methods.
- To contribute to the review, planning and development of the ESOL curriculum at Southwark College
- To work with the ESOL team to develop Schemes of Learning, lesson plans and new teaching materials.
- To work with the ESOL to devise and implement a range of assessment activities.
- To assess student work and provide feedback to support learners to develop their skills and maximise their potential.
- To contribute to the ESOL strategies to improve student achievement and retention.
