You’ll be helping at Mencap’s fun quiz event, which will help raise funds to support people with a learning disability.

The quiz night is made up of several different rounds. Guests can choose to play their joker for a specific round to score double points but have to declare this at the beginning of the quiz round. The event is organised alongside Mencap’s Special Events Committee who invite their friends to buy tickets and enjoy an evening of fundraising.

We’ll have 32 tables of guests at each event so we’re looking for lots of help to make the event a success – that’s where you come in!

 

Quiz Night

Date: Thursday 11th April

Time: 5:30-10:30pm

Venue: Pont Street, SW1X 0BD (nearest tube is Knightsbridge) – exact address to be sent closer to time

Outline of event: A quiz night organised with a Mencap committee with a raffle, silent and live auction

Roles: venue set up, welcome guests, selling raffle tickets, tidying away, creating an upbeat atmosphere. It is not essential but please let us know if you have any hospitality experience.

Uniform: smart black with comfy shoes

 

What skills do I need?
• 18 or over

  • A good communicator and listener
  • Friendly and approachable
  • Reliable and patient
  • Willing to volunteer within guidelines and to take direction where necessary
