The opportunity

Join us at UAL Short Courses for an exciting opportunity to expand our Fashion and Contour Design programmes, offering unique and creative learning experiences to diverse groups of learners both in our colleges and online.

UAL Short Courses delivers a wide array of distinctive courses, enabling students to learn from industry experts, acquire new skills, and enhance their portfolios. Our courses are available online and in-person across UAL locations, scheduled throughout the year, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

We are currently seeking tutors to join our teaching pool. Opportunities are available for delivering the following courses:

Sportswear Design Short Course

15th January – 12th February 2025, Wednesdays, 18:00 – 20:30
19th February – 19th March 2025, Wednesdays, 18:00 – 20:30
16th April – 14th May 2025, Wednesdays, 18:00 – 20:30

Activewear Design Short Course

13th January – 10th February, Mondays, 18:00 – 20:30
20th February – 20th March 2025, Thursdays, 18:00 – 20:30
17th April – 15th May 2025, Thursdays, 18:00 – 20:30

Lingerie and Swimwear Design Short Course

Bodywear and Activewear Design Online Short Course

Streetwear Fashion Design Short Course

14th January – 11th February 2025. Tuesdays, 18:00 – 20:30
18th February – 18th March 2025, Tuesdays, 18:00 – 20:30

About you

Are you passionate about inspiring, engaging, and connecting with learners of all ages? Do you possess the skills to prepare individuals for success in their chosen careers or educational paths? If so, we invite you to join our team at UAL Short Courses as a Short Course Tutor.

We are particularly keen to hear from practicing professionals who are at the forefront of the leisure and sportswear industries and are eager to impart new skills and experiences to our students.

Candidates should be capable of planning and delivering inclusive sessions that develop and engage learners, incorporating their own specialisms and styles. A solid understanding of the industry or subject area is essential, as is prior experience in teaching or training. A teaching qualification is desirable but not mandatory. Tutors should be confident in working with diverse age groups and cultural backgrounds, creating a dynamic and inclusive learning environment.

Strong organisational skills, including the management of materials, are required.
