Ealing is a richly diverse borough, characterised by a mix of inner city and suburban neighbourhoods, people from over 100 countries, speaking over 170 different languages, from all ethnicities and religions, and experiencing great affluence as well as depravation.[1]

The Ealing Educational Psychology Service (EPS) welcomes applicants for the role of main grade educational psychologists (qualified and those about to complete their doctorate course) to join us in celebrating diversity and share in our commitment to delivering applied psychology that champions equitable practice.

We offer:

  • A warm, friendly, innovative, and supportive team
  • A strong drive and commitment from leaders to better work / life balance, including a hybrid model of face to face and remote working
  • Opportunities and dedicated time to develop areas of special interest arising from your doctoral research as related to EPS priorities
  • Dedicated time and support from an assistant educational psychologist
  • Well established traded services to support early intervention and facilitate training, including a strong focus on social and emotional mental health
  • Regular, high-quality individual and peer supervision
  • A generous pension scheme
  • Up to 31 days holiday entitlement.

The Educational Psychology Service operates a model of hybrid working. Our office is based at Carmelita House, situated in central Ealing (5 minutes from Ealing Broadway station).

Ealing Council is committed to safeguarding children and vulnerable adults and expects all staff to share this commitment. Ealing follows safer recruitment practices to protect children and vulnerable adults. The posts are subject to Ealing’s enhanced vetting process and the post holder will be subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.

The roles are customer facing and as such you must have a command of spoken English which is sufficient to enable you to effectively perform the role. This requirement relates to Part 7 of the Immigration Act 2016.

These posts are suitable for a job share. We value applications for the main grade posts from Trainee EPs who will complete their doctorate this year, as well as qualified EPs who are HCPC registered.
