The opportunity
Join our esteemed Direct Tax team within Finance, a close-knit group where collaboration thrives. As the newest member of this dynamic quartet, your role will be instrumental in ensuring EDF Energy Group’s compliance with internal and external tax requirements. This isn’t just about ticking boxes; it’s about fostering tax efficiency in alignment with our broader corporate objectives.
This is an opportunity to gain a breadth of experience and knowledge by working with corporate finance and various finance teams in different Business Units internally and HMRC. We’ll support your development in accounting or tax qualifications and career development in Direct Tax

What you’ll be doing
As a Direct Tax Business Partner, you will be the vital link between Business Units and Finance. Your responsibilities span from producing accurate corporation tax returns to negotiating and finalising tax liabilities with HMRC.
Dive into process development, efficiency enhancement, and the automation of critical processes.
Your meticulous eye for detail and tax legislation compliance expertise will be pivotal in ensuring accuracy.
Who you are
In addition to being either qualified or part qualified in ACA, or CTA, you bring a wealth of experience in UK corporation tax matters from large businesses or prominent accounting practices.
Your track record in relationship building and effective communication of complex financial and tax information across various stakeholder levels is essential.
Comfortable working independently, your impeccable time management and prioritization skills will shine as you adapt to evolving requirements.
Computer literacy, including proficiency in Word, Excel, and corporation tax software, is a must, with a bonus if you’re acquainted with SAP and Alteryx.
