Overview
Social and Digital is integral to everything we do at Grayling, as part of our integrated approach to comms. We service a range of sectors in the UK and internationally, across corporate, consumer, and public affairs, and our clients rely on us to provide social and digital strategies that support business promotion, reputation building, and safeguarding. Our work spans organic and paid social media strategy, influencer strategy, and campaign execution across the social giants (Facebook, X, LinkedIn, Instagram, and TikTok), as well as organic and paid search advertising.
The role
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and ambitious digital marketer to develop, grow, and manage Grayling’s Digital team. The successful candidate will deliver senior digital counsel to our UK team, upselling Digital services as part of integrated communication strategies to existing clients, and lead on Digital new business opportunities.
The day to day
- Foster strong relationships with clients and internal teams, positioning yourself as the primary point-of-contact for expert counsel on all aspects of social and digital communications.
- Grow and retain existing Grayling client relationships by overseeing the seamless delivery of proposals and activations, and identifying opportunities to upsell.
- Deliver objective-focused organic social media, paid social media, influencer, and search strategies for clients across various industries.
- Scope and manage social and digital projects based on timeframes and objectives with accuracy on hours, skillsets and deliverables.
- Work collaboratively with our internal Creative and Studio teams to ideate innovative social-first activations, aligned with platform and audience best practices.
- Liaise with our Studio team and clients to oversee the creation and curation of high-quality, engaging content tailored to each client’s brand and audience.
- Execute client-facing organic and paid digital strategies and activations, and support on paid execution internally to promote the wider Grayling agency.
- Produce and analyse a variety of data-driven reports on performance across organic and paid to measure the effectiveness of campaigns and inform future strategies.
- Unlock social-first and integrated new business opportunities for Grayling by contributing social and digital counsel to pitches and existing clients.
- Champion social and digital innovation within the agency by sharing knowledge, trends, tools, and inspiration from the wider industry landscape.
What will give you the edge
- You’re immersed in digital culture, on-the-pulse with social and digital trends, and passionate about all things social and digital.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and team members.
- Adept at engaging and getting buy-in from multi-market stakeholders at all levels, across all departments
- Exceptional organisational and multitasking abilities, with a talent for managing multiple projects simultaneously (ideally agency background).
- Proven track record of developing and executing successful organic and paid social media campaigns, delivering greater brand awareness, lead generation, and talent attraction.
- Strong understanding of various social media algorithms, organic and paid best practices (Facebook, X, LinkedIn, Instagram, and TikTok).
- Proficiency in social media management tools and native analytics platforms (e.g. Hootsuite, Falcon, Google Analytics).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling content and translate complex terminology into social-first formats.
- Previous experience of working within an integrated agency team and experience managing and developing more junior – AM level and below – team members
- An advantage if you can demonstrate:
- Broader knowledge of the digital ecosystem (e.g. websites, programmatic and display, search & SEO).
- Proficiency in wider analytics tools (e.g. Talkwalker, SEMrush, GWI, HypeAuditer, WordPress, Mailchimp).
- Background in b2b/corporate social and digital comms.
