Job overview
We are seeking to appoint a Deputy to dovetail with the SENDCO working 3 days a week to assist with the co-ordination and development of this key area of school and ensure the statutory requirements of the SEND Code of Practice are met.
Together you will provide a link between teaching staff, students and their and families and necessary support either internally from our team of HLTA’s, LSA’s, mentors and therapists or from an external professional.
The successful candidate will be a qualified teacher with the ability to teach English and experience of supporting students with additional needs who holds or will commit to train for the National Qualification Award for SEN Co-ordination. The ability to assess, plan and monitor student progress is essential as is experience of communicating with families and external agencies.
You will have a teaching commitment of up to 10 lessons per fortnight. SEND is overseen by the Director of Inclusion..
