The Governors and Headteacher wish to appoint a new Deputy Head of Faculty for our Mathematics provision. We are looking for an exceptional candidate to work with the Head of Mathematics to develop and deliver a knowledge-rich curriculum that is exciting, innovative and diverse.

Mathematics is held in high regard at The Hollyfield School. Many go on to study Mathematics at A Level in our thriving sixth form. We are currently developing our knowledge-rich curriculum in conjunction with our partner Mathematics Faculties in the Trust in order to provide our students with a world class programme of study. The faculty has an excellent extra-curricular offering including; University visits, guest speakers, Numeracy week and the UK Mathematics Challenge with many of our students achieving Gold.

Hollyfield is a beautiful school with a thriving sixth form, in the Surbiton area of Outer London. Excellent transport links enable our staff and young people to take full advantage of the wealth of opportunities that London provides. We are an ambitious school that puts student achievement and wellbeing at its heart.

Hollyfield is part of the Every Child, Every Day Multi Academy Trust and we have strong relationships with our Trust partners. In April 2020 we were judged by Ofsted to be ‘good’: ‘School leaders are keen to ensure all pupils achieve their best. Pupils respond well to leaders’ high expectations. There is a distinct sense of community in the school. Pupils grow in confidence and learn to work together well as a result.’

The trust provides excellent subject-level support and leadership CPD through the NPQML and NPQSL programmes. This role would be an outstanding opportunity for someone who is looking for their first middle-leadership position or for an experienced middle leader who wants to work within a supportive faculty that utilises evidence-based teaching practices to drive improvement and achievement.

The successful candidate will meet the following essential criteria:

  • QTS;
  • a broad base of subject knowledge;
