Job Title: Adjunct Instructor for Criminal Justice
Department: School of Social Sciences
Reports To: Dean, College of Social Sciences and Humanities
Job Type: This is a part time, exempt position.
General Description:
William Woods University is accepting applications for adjunct instructors to teach undergraduate criminal justice online courses. Areas of teaching include a variety of courses across our criminal justice curriculum. The contracted teaching load is 3 to 9 credit hours per semester, depending on the needs of the program. There may be opportunities to teach summer and intercession courses.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Teach online undergraduate courses in criminal justice.
• Maintain annual professional development according to personal and professional need.Position Requirements:
• A master’s degree in criminal justice or a related field is required. A PhD in Criminal Justice or Criminology is preferred.
• A minimum of 2 years of professional experience in a criminal justice setting is preferred.
• Teaching experience at a higher educational institution is preferred.
