Education: Must possess
a high school diploma or equivalent.
Experience: At least
one year of proven experience in the security field, police officer
or prior military service.
Knowledge and
Skills:
• Must demonstrate good moral and ethical standards.
• Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
with students, faculty, staff and visitors.
• Ability to operate detecting systems and other emergency
equipment.
• Ability to work well with diverse populations, a demonstrated
ability to think and act appropriately, and to communicate and work
with people from different cultural backgrounds.
License: Must possess a
NYS Security Guard License, plus 8-hour and 16-hour training
certificate(s). Current and valid driver’s license in either the
State of New York, New Jersey, or Connecticut (Please note all
drivers must not only be valid but must also meet Pratt’s driver
requirements. This includes being free from excessive violations
and driving infractions).
This is an
