Full job description
We are looking for a highly motivated individual to support the delivery of AHP workforce priorities within West London NHS Trust and across North West London. The post holder will be based in the Corporate AHP Team of West London NHS Trust reporting directly to the AHP Education Leads.
As the AHP Education Support Worker you will have a specific remit to work with stakeholders across the system to implement a programme of work that will create a development pathway for AHP support workers, alongside supporting the broader portfolio that the Corporate AHP Team covers.
You will be able to evidence some experience of service improvement work and a strong desire for learning. Successful delivery of the identified projects is dependent on collaborative working, and so the ability to develop relationships and having demonstrate strong communication and negotiating skills is essential.
The post will be based at Trust HQ for West London NHS Trust in Southall, Ealing with the expectation that the post holder will largely work from home. However, travel throughout the region will be required as appropriate.
This is a 12 month fixed term contract or secondment opportunity at 0.4 WTE
You will be required to:
Set own goals within the boundaries of the Corporate AHP Team portfolio
Have the ability to organise project activity within the requirements of the specifications, working alongside the Corporate AHP Team
Develop reporting mechanisms, including all data related to the projects
Be able to build networks and engage with a variety of stakeholders including those across NW London
Participate in the AHP Support Worker workforce development projects, leading on identified pieces of work.
Represent AHP Support Workers in relevant forums, e.g. Therapies conference planning, AHP Education and facilitate the development of AHP Support Worker networks
Oversight and management of peer support worker contacts database ensuring there is a regular audit/ update
Scoping stakeholder interests and activities, identifying opportunities for the trust to engage with AHP support workers
To provide some administrative support to the Corporate AHP team including the management of distribution lists and minute taking for relevant meetings
Support the planning and co-ordinating of Trust wide events to include the annual AHP conference
